The vision for DJR Construction Group started over three generations ago with Johnnie B Cannon Sr. He started out as a cement finisher in 1953 and became President of the Local Masonry Union. He was lead masonry foreman on the construction of the AFLAC tower in Columbus, Georgia. He and wife Adelaide birthed eight children, five girls and three boys who learned hard work and determination by watching their parents. He taught all his sons the mastery of cement finishing.
Two of which would go on to continue in the trade with Cobra Construction. Cobra Construction would later dissolve in the wake of the passing of one of the co-founders Jerome Cannon only to be revived years later, this time as DJR Construction Group. With over 45 years of combined general contracting experience we specialize in commercial and residential renovations, remodels, new construction builds and community maintenance.
